Rameswaram

Head in the sky, feet lightly touching the ground,
The only constant of this year has been change.
Finding myself in a place neither here nor there,
Yet striding out bravely on a path of renewal.
Never thought my world would shift so fast,
With control of this strange life back in my grasp.
The temples of India were a journey back to Self,
Wrung clean of the world to see my place in life.
Heard the voices of ages espousing the Truth,
The oneness of a universe that’s inclusive of all.

Soul washed clean beside one timeless ocean,
Life brought back in focus on the shores of another.

Rameswaram – Ramanathaswamy Temple (Irāmanātasvāmi Kōyil) is a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Shiva located on Rameswaram Island in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is also one of the twelve Jyotirlinga temples. The temple is considered a holy pilgrimage site for Shaivites, Vaishnavites and Smarthas. The presiding deity, the Lingam of Ramaanathaswamy (Shiva), is believed to have been established and worshipped by Rama, an avatar of the god Vishnu, to absolve the sins created during the Ramayana war on Sri Lanka.
